February 2024 Newsletter
February 1, 2024
Busy, busy, busy!
Ooooo-eeeee! This year is definitely starting out with a bang! I've been busy booking shows for this year as they come up, working on writing my fourth books aaaaaand launching a new website. This will be my last monthly newsletter emailed through Constant Contact. My website domain,
www.jodieleighmurray.com remains the same, but the look and feel of it is different. There's a new look and feel to it, and more professional.
The next few months are going to be a flurry of activity while I'm ramping up to release The Gangster's Mistake, set for a mid-April publication date. My editor should have developmental editing back to me by the middle of this month so I can polish it up. Once that's done, I can send it off to Readers' Favorites for professional reviews (crossing my fingers for more 5-star reviews) and while that's in review, proofreading will be done. After the reviews come back, I can complete the cover and interior and do my publishing through my partners, but it takes almost two weeks for me to get the proofs to do final proofreading to ensure everything is correct before publication.
In the meantime, feel free to peruse my event schedule below to see if I'll be in your area! I'd love to see repeat supporters, even if stopping in and say hello! My March newsletter should have my release date for The Gangster's Mistake in it, so look forward to that.

The Gangster's Mistake: Meet Riley and Ty
Deep down, Riley's a strong woman even though she seems vulnerable at first. She's been through hell in her past, but she's willing to fight for what she believes in. There is a lot of risk in her profession, risk that she's willing to take until she meets Ty. She wants to let him in, but she's convinced that what they have is temporary.
Like Riley, Ty has had a rough past too, but not in the same way as she has. But like her, he's not willing to give up either. When he meets Riley, she affects him in a way that he can't shake off even at the risk to his own safety. There is something about this headstrong, wounded woman that pulls at him. And he'll do whatever he can to make sure she's safe.
