Next Release Updates . . .
Hopefully, if you've been following me (and reading my monthly newsletter), you know that I'm working on my next book release. The Aristocrat's Wife, my second historical romance, is due later this year. The date of the release is still pending, but I'm expecting late fall. If you're following me on social media, I'll be releasing some teasers this month. Here's where I am in the process:
- Written - DONE
- Round 1 Edits - DONE
- Round 2 Edits - DONE
- Round 3 Edits - DONE
- Critique and Beta Reader Feedback - IN PROGRESS
- Developmental Editing - TO DO
When you edit this many times, things stick out where I think I'm lacking. I have faith that my critique partner is going to catch them if my beta readers don't. After that, I'll be connecting with my editor, Becky. The release date will depend on her schedule and how quickly she can work her magic (and how much magic she has to perform).
I will give you a head's up. The way the novel is with no other changes in book format, the page count is 586 pages. That's pretty hefty. Putting that into perspective, The Gangster's Daughter total finished page count is about 350.
Stay tuned, and happy reading!
